    Welcome!

    Dear Parent/Guardian,
Welcome to Elk Hills where, unfortunately, we shrunk your students! We hope you enjoy our collected theme of "A Bug's Life" and "Honey, We Shrunk the Kids." I am very excited to begin this year as your student's fourth and fifth grade teacher! The year is already packed full with activities that will help your student develop academically, socially, mentally, and even a little physically!

I first want to thank you for allowing me to be your student's teacher. As this is my first year teaching, I am excited, but also nervous. Luckily, I am blessed with an amazing staff (which I am sure you know) that has been a huge support and help this past summer and will continue throughout the year. I ask that you come alongside the staff and myself to make this a great year. We cannot do it alone! If you have any questions, comments, or would like to talk about absolutely anything, my door is always open.

As we begin this year, I have high hopes...very high hopes for your student. I know that he/she will and can succeed and I will do my very best work with that student so they do succeed, feel confident about themselves, and know they can do anything they set their minds to.

I hope that you are as excited as I am! Like I said before, please feel free to call me or e-mail me with question or concerns. Emily@pierceco.net 661-765-7431

Looking forward to a great year!

    Emily Pierce
